Girlfriends Book Club

Thank you for your interest in the Girlfriends Book Club. We want to make sure that you know some key information for becoming a member. The Girlfriends Book Club was founded on Nov 2004 while co-workers were sitting and discussing why black women do not get together to do more than club, celebrate birthdays, visit with each others kids, etc. Thus, the Girlfriends Book Club was born. Our basic concept was to vote on a book, read it, meet once a month to discuss it over food and drink. As time has evolved the GBC has become more than your typical book club. We are very dedicated to providing change with in the community and uplifting the African American race. We have donated to the Breast Cancer Society, adopted 2 families affected by Hurricane Katrina, as well as helping the youth by starting the GBC non- profit organization Girlfriends Mentorship Program. The Girlfriend’s Book Club has many future goals and hope that you will join the journey with us.

Please keep the following in mind when you consider starting a new chapter:
A minimum of six (6) members are required to start and maintain an Official Chapter.

The maximum number of members is 20 members per chapter.

There is a one-time Initiation Fee of $25 per person. This fee will be utilized for travel expense for the CEO to assist in start up of your chapter.
